CFA ROW MUST END
Independent Member for Shepparton District Suzanna Sheed has again come out in support of CFA volunteers.
“I have been in contact with the Premier’s office today.
I will also be meeting with the new Emergency Services Minister, James Merlino, where I will be seeking to discuss the finer details of the latest version of the Enterprise Bargaining Agreement, and raising the concerns communicated to me by my constituents,” Ms Sheed said.
“It’s disappointing to learn volunteers are at a point, where they feel they have to look for avenues to break away from the organisation to be heard.
“Parliament during the past week was very combative. This war using our volunteers has to stop.
There must be a compromise that fairly meets the needs of both parties to this dispute and I urge the government to consider further amendments to the Enterprise Bargaining Agreement to address the major concerns of the CFA volunteers”, Ms Sheed said.
